Our Roots

My grandparents are who inspired me to start Camp Sly Fox. They had a small campground and a black powder gun club that they started with their friends. I remember the black powder meet ups and camping there. It is where I learned to love exploring the land and going on adventures in the woods. It sparked my imagination and taught me to dream big.

I grew up working at camps and always being outdoors. I developed a real and solid relationship with Jesus through friendships, exploring, Bible study, and outdoor adventure. I hope that others can find that same freedom at Camp Sly Fox.

I was also always around animals. They had a profound healing effect on me and I hope to be able to use animals to help heal others. I have worked at horse camps all over the country and I hope to have a thriving horse program at Camp Sly Fox. I also hope to have an array of other animals that people can love on and connect with.

I am so excited for us to start the camp on land that our grandparents once owned. It is a wonderful feeling to know that this camp will be on land that they loved and shared with their community. Camp Sly Fox will be located in the endless mountains near Gillett, Pennsylvania.

Our overall PLAN

The goal of Camp Sly Fox is to give people the opportunity to connect with Jesus through creativity and adventure. My hope for Camp Sly Fox is to have a safe place that will cultivate dreamers, creatives, innovators, adventurers, explorers, and seekers. Camp Sly Fox will have unique buildings for people to not only stay in, but be inspired by. We will have programs where people of all ages can learn more about Jesus and the passions and ideas He gives us. We will do this by facilitating art camps, media camps, theater camps, adventure camps, and science camps. We will also host conferences and retreats for all ages. We want to inspire and equip on all levels. It is exciting because the possibilities are endless!

our BUILDING PLANS

Right now things at Camp Sly Fox are extremely primitive. We have beautiful land but we need to set up an infrastructure. Our first goal is to bring in electricity and plumbing, as well as roads. We will first build an eco-friendly bath house. Once the bath house is complete we hope to add teepees and yurts. Later we hope to build Hobbit holes and have our very own Shire. We will then build a lodge that will allow for more guests and programs. Eventually we also want to have a barn, a pool, and athletic field. We hope to create a unique space that allows people to dream with God and enjoy community with other campers.
